BNB Derma SEO Case Study: From Low Traffic to 8M PKR Monthly Revenue in 8 Months

Project Background

When I first connected with BNB Derma, a growing skincare and dermaceutical brand in Pakistan, they had a clear vision: to become a trusted name in organic skincare products. Despite having premium formulations and a loyal offline customer base, their online presence wasn’t delivering.

Their website received minimal organic traffic, and their sales from search channels were just a few lacs PKR per month. The brand wanted to scale, not only in traffic but in digital revenue, and SEO became the primary growth engine.

That’s when I stepped in to build a complete SEO transformation plan from the ground up.

Understanding the Challenge

BNB Derma’s website was visually appealing but technically flawed. My initial audit revealed several critical issues holding them back:

  • Canonical errors and duplicated brand names in title tags
  • Keyword cannibalization across collection pages
  • Missing meta tags, inconsistent headers, and poor content hierarchy
  • Product pages without clear categorization or pricing
  • Broken internal links and unoptimized URL structure

The challenge wasn’t just about fixing tags; it was about restructuring their entire website for SEO performance while ensuring the user experience improved alongside.

My Strategy: Research, Optimization & Growth

I started with comprehensive market and competitor research. Using tools like SEMrush, Moz, and Google Search Console, I analyzed top competitors in Pakistan’s skincare niche — their ranking keywords, backlinks, and content strategies. This research helped identify untapped keyword opportunities and content gaps that we could own.

Once the research phase was complete, I divided the project into three key stages:

a. Technical SEO & Website Audit

I performed a complete audit to uncover performance bottlenecks and structural issues.
Here’s what I fixed and optimized:

  • Re-coded canonical tags to eliminate duplicate indexing.
  • Resolved keyword cannibalization and reassigned focus keywords.
  • Fixed navigation dropdown orientation for better UX and crawlability.
  • Corrected product categorization and missing prices.
  • Cleaned up duplicate titles, meta tags, and structured data.
  • Improved mobile speed and layout for better Core Web Vitals.

This technical cleanup created a strong SEO foundation that allowed Google to crawl, index, and understand the site effectively.

b. On-Page SEO & Content Optimization

Once the site’s technical issues were resolved, I focused on content and keyword optimization.
For every collection and product page, I rewrote meta titles, descriptions, and headers with high-intent keywords.

In cases where no keyword data existed, I conducted fresh keyword research to identify transactional and informational search terms that aligned with customer intent — terms like “best vitamin C serum in Pakistan”, “organic face cleansers”, and “hydrating moisturizers for dry skin”.

Each page was optimized for on-page SEO, internal linking, and semantic relevance. I also improved blog content, ensuring every post targeted relevant long-tail keywords while supporting product pages.

c. Off-Page SEO & Backlink Building

With on-site optimization complete, I launched a white-hat backlink campaign targeting high-quality, relevant websites in the beauty and wellness niche.

I disavowed toxic backlinks with a spam score over 5% and built new, clean, contextual links to increase the domain’s authority.
Simultaneously, I began a local SEO push, optimizing their Google Business Profile and strengthening local keyword visibility.

The Results

After months of consistent work, the results spoke for themselves. Between November 2023 and June 2024, BNB Derma’s organic performance saw a dramatic rise.
